Job Overview

An exciting and new opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Farm Business Manager to join an ambitious family farming business in north east Essex.

Duties

  • Creation of farm budgets and cashflows in conjunction with the owners and subsequent budget management
  • Take a lead on all Omnia administration and management
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise productivity and profitability in conjunction with the family.
  • Manage budgeting, financial planning, and record-keeping related to farm activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
  • Foster relationships with suppliers, clients, and community stakeholders.
  • Take the lead on all farm audits including red tractor
  • Lead initiatives for sustainable farming practices and innovation within the organisation.
  • Monitor crop yields, livestock health, and equipment maintenance to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Management of all estate properties

A role very much suited to someone with a passion for an experience in leading the business and office part of a farm business. There will be opportunities to be involved in the practical part of farming for those who want to and a real chance to support with the farm bookkeeping and associated work going forward.
