Clinical Assessor (PIP) – Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics & Pharmacists
Hybrid roles available across England
Full-time positions | Monday–Friday | 9:00am–5:00pm

We are currently recruiting Clinical Assessors (PIP) for hybrid roles, offering the opportunity to use your clinical expertise in a different way — with no nights, weekends, bank holidays or long shifts.

Salary & Benefits
  • £40,000 starting salary
  • £1,000 salary increase after 6 months

What Does a PIP Clinical Assessor Do?

As a PIP Assessor, you'll use your clinical knowledge and professional judgement to assess how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their daily living and mobility.

Your role will include:
  • Conducting structured PIP assessments via telephone and face-to-face appointments.
  • Taking detailed clinical histories and discussing how conditions affect day-to-day activities.
  • Reviewing medical evidence and health questionnaires.
  • Assessing physical, cognitive and mental health conditions.
  • Applying clinical reasoning and professional judgement.
  • Producing clear, accurate and objective reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
  • Managing your own caseload while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
No previous Functional Assessor experience is required — full training is provided.
12-Week Paid Training Programme - You'll receive a comprehensive 12-week paid training programme, covering:
  • PIP assessment techniques
  • DWP guidelines and requirements
  • Clinical reasoning and assessment skills
  • Evidence evaluation
  • Detailed and objective report writing
IMPORTANT – WHO CAN APPLY?

This role is specifically for the following registered healthcare professionals:
Registered Nurses | Occupational Therapists | Physiotherapists | Paramedics | Pharmacists

Applicants must have:
  • At least 1 year of post-registration clinical experience in a relevant adult setting.
  • Active NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Confident IT and typing skills.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
