Location: GL54
Salary: £57,000 Basic + Overtime
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Are you an experienced engineering professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Workshop Supervisor to join our engineering team.

PSV Workshop Supervisor - About the Role

As a Workshop Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the engineering workshop, ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest standards. You will lead a team of skilled engineers and technicians, manage daily workloads, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry regulations.

PSV Workshop Supervisor - Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of engineers and fitters
  • Plan and allocate daily maintenance and repair tasks
  • Ensure all servicing, inspections, and repairs are completed on time
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and engineering compliance
  • Carry out quality checks and ensure accurate documentation
  • Work closely with operations teams to maximise fleet availability
  • Support ongoing training and development across the engineering team

PSV Workshop Supervisor - About You

  • Qualified engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in PSV, HGV, Heavy Vehicle Engineering, or similar)
  • Strong technical understanding of bus or heavy vehicle maintenance
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior engineering role
  • Confident communicator with strong leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workshop environment
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
