Overview

Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
  • Support the kitchen team in food production, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Supervise junior team members when needed, providing guidance on food prep and kitchen procedures
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and cooking techniques accurately to ensure consistency across all dishes
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with chefs, servers, and other staff
  • Help monitor stock levels, assist with inventory checks, and ensure proper storage of ingredients

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a hospitality or restaurant setting
  • Demonstrated supervising experience or team management capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail and presentation
