2027 UK Graduate Program
Graduate Process Engineer
Kick-start your engineering career with Worley, a global engineering and construction organisation delivering some of the world's most complex and innovative energy, chemicals and infrastructure projects. We are seeking talented Graduate Process Engineers to join our UK team, with opportunities across our offices in London, Manchester, Stockton, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
From Carbon Capture, Green Hydrogen and Sustainable Aviation Fuel projects to major data centres, pipelines and traditional energy developments, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects that are shaping the future of our industry. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain hands-on exposure to both engineering design and project delivery, developing your technical capabilities while building a strong foundation for a successful career.
As part of our two-year graduate programme, you will receive structured training, mentoring and support towards professional accreditation, while gaining experience across multidisciplinary teams and a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects. Graduates will be appointed to a UK office location but should be prepared to be geographically mobile during the programme, with opportunities to work across our UK offices, project sites and, where available, international assignments.
If you are passionate about engineering, enjoy solving complex challenges and are excited by the prospect of working on large-scale projects that make a real impact, Worley offers an environment where you can learn, grow and make your mark from day one.
You'll be:
· Involved in projects across all phases of delivery, from concept development and FEED through to detailed design, construction and commissioning.
· Developing process engineering deliverables including heat & mass balances, calculations, drawings and reports.
· Applying creative thinking and engineering judgement to solve process design, operational and safety challenges.
· Supporting process safety and risk management activities, including hazard identification, risk assessments and participation in safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA.
· Considering environmental, sustainability, commercial and operational requirements when developing practical engineering solutions.
· Using industry standard software for process simulation, hydraulic analysis and process safety assessments.
· Supporting the management of design changes through formal management of change processes and stakeholder communication.
· Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, vendors and contractors.
· Supporting the delivery of projects to quality, schedule and budget requirements.
· Communicating technical information and presenting engineering work to colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.
You'll have:
· You will be in your final year of study of an accredited bachelor’s or master’s level engineering degree or have graduated within the past 2 years.
· Applicants must have achieved, or be working towards achieving, a minimum 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent qualification).
· Must have full right to live and work in the UK.
· Have a strong interest in process engineering.
· Demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
· Communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
· Take a proactive approach to learning and developing your technical and professional capabilities.
What Worley offers to you:
· A structured two-year graduate development programme to support in your professional development through core competencies, leadership project management courses, and professional registration
· A dedicated mentor to provide guidance, support, and career development throughout your graduate journey.
· Membership of our Graduate Community, led and managed by graduates. With its own governance structure and annual budget, the community provides networking opportunities, development initiatives, and a platform for graduates to contribute to company strategy.
· The opportunity to work on exciting projects within a truly global organization, collaborating with colleagues and clients across our business and gaining exposure to diverse industries and locations
· A competitive salary and benefits package including Flexible hybrid working arrangements (where role requirements permit), a pension scheme, an additional holiday purchase scheme, and a wide range of other employee benefits.
