EARLY YEARS TEACHER

At Home from Home Worthing, we are looking for a warm and friendly experienced Early Years Teacher with an EYTS qualification or Qualified Teacher Status with experience of Early Years to join our team of dedicated staff.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience of coaching staff in the delivery of the EYFS and Development Matters. Furthermore, to have been involved in staff development and training and have some experience in overseeing a nursery.

The successful candidate will work alongside our Nursery Manager and staff leadership team to coach, inspire and motivate our 3 age cohorts to support curriculum development. We are looking for someone who is organised and has good verbal and written skills. The candidate will be expected to maintain the highest professional standards at all times and model best practice by interacting daily with families, children and colleagues.

Experience of involvement in Ofsted Inspections would be a huge benefit.

About us

Home from Home Nursery on Grand Avenue in Worthing has been open for 10 years with up to 120 children attending each day. HfH is warm and friendly set in a large Victorian house with original features to include stained glass windows and high ceilings with cornicing. A large half acre garden wraps around the buildings with allotment, potting house, beach and forest areas. Upstairs we accommodate our under twos and downstairs is our 20– 36 month old space. Our Preschool consists of 3-5 year old's in their own building spread over two floors. Forest school and Wild Beach is a key part of the Toddlers and Pre School daily routine and this role can take an active part in teaching and learning excellence in these areas.

Children enjoy lots of free-flow roaming and playing both indoors and out whatever the weather. We work on a higher ratio that the government states which allows for regular trips to the seafront, train station and parks. The staff at Home from Home are part of an annual Supervision and Appraisal programme that recognises progression and rewards dedication and commitment to our long term goals.

Home from Home follows a safe recruitment process and we are fully committed to a robust safeguarding procedure. All successful applicants must provide at least 2 references and a DBS check will be required.

The post is over 2.5/3days.

Salary £15.38-£18.27 per hour
