Hygiene Operative

Division: Wholesale
Department: Operations
Position: Full time, permanent, on site
Reports to: Site Manager
Place of work: NW10 Park Royal
Working pattern: 5 days, 9 hours (1 hour paid break)

Purpose of the role
The Hygiene Operative is responsible for keeping our depot, equipment and working areas clean, safe and hygienic at all times. This helps us meet our food safety standards and keep our customer promise.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise all operational areas to the cleaning schedule, including the fish, shellfish, oysters, deli, chiller and freezer areas
  • Clean and sanitise equipment, work surfaces, crates and tools
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, following COSHH guidance
  • Complete all cleaning and food safety paperwork correctly
  • Manage waste and recycling, and make sure the depot is clean, debris free and organised
  • Report any H&S or food safety concerns to a manager immediately
  • Work with and support other departments and managers as part of the WB team

Key skills

  • Experience in a cleaning or hygiene role, ideally in a food, chilled or frozen environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
  • High levels of personal hygiene

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
