Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bid Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing compelling and accurate bid proposals to secure new business opportunities. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in various document processing tools. The Bid Writer will play a vital part in supporting the organisation’s growth by crafting persuasive submissions that meet client specifications and organisational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyse client requirements and project specifications to develop tailored bid proposals
  • Draft, edit, and proofread bid documents ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with organisational guidelines
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as project managers, finance, and technical departments to gather necessary information for bids
  • Utilise Visio and Word processing software to create professional diagrams, charts, and formatted documents
  • Manage multiple bid deadlines efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Maintain organised records of all bid submissions and related documentation for future reference
  • Review feedback on submitted bids to improve future proposals and optimise success rates

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bid writing or proposal development within a relevant industry
  • Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with internal teams and clients
  • Proficiency in Word processing applications and relevent software for creating professional documents and diagrams
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Good understanding of organisational procedures related to bid submissions
  • Previous experience in technical or complex proposal writing is desirable but not essential
