About The Organisation

We proudly serve a population of 655,000 across rural and urban communities in both North and South Lanarkshire. NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.
The Role
- To work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.
- Implement, adapt and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
- Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes across a variety of clinical settings.
- Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.
In this key role, you will:
- Responsible for a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows clearly defined parameters.
- Assess, implement, progress treatment and discharge in accordance with agreed protocols and parameters.
- Plan and prioritise delegated patient caseload.
- Plan and organise a range of therapeutic activities/clinics
What You'll Bring:
- HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
- Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
- Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
- Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
