Assistant Restaurant Manager at The Roslin Beach Hotel, Southend-on-Sea

An exciting opening has become available to join our food & beverage department at our beautiful coastal hotel in Thorpe Bay, Essex.

The Roslin Beach Hotel is an AA 4 Silver Star hotel with a multi award-winning Two AA Rosette Restaurant that is recognised across the country. This thriving hotel is proudly located on Thorpe Esplanade with panoramic views of the beautiful Estuary in each of our dining rooms.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role where you will oversee the day-to-day of the food and beverage department, supporting our F&B Manager. The successful candidate will thrive in this bustling restaurant environment with the ability to multitask pulling from the strengths of their team. Our new assistant restaurant manager will be managing approximately 50 members of staff whilst motivating and encouraging them in a safe, inclusive workspace. You will also be required to work late nights and weekends due to the high volume of events and functions the hotel holds.

What we would like from you:

  • Experience in a similar high volume hospitality role is a must
  • Quality leadership skills and to lead by example
  • Exude confidence and professionalism
  • Demonstrate excellent restaurant and/or hotel knowledge with high service standards
  • Have a great front of house presence and naturally inspire your team
  • Have a good understanding of business operations
  • Experience with both ResDiary and Tevalis EPOS is a positive but not essential
