Membership Sales Consultant – Rise Gym Welwyn Garden City

Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped commission (OTE £36,000)

The Role

As a Membership Sales Consultant, you’ll be at the frontline of the Rise experience.

This isn’t simply about selling gym memberships. You’ll be introducing people to a lifestyle and helping them find the right combination of training, classes, recovery and community to support their goals.

From the first enquiry and club tour through to joining and completing their first session, you’ll ensure every interaction reflects the energy, ambition and five-star standards of Rise Gym.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drive membership sales by converting inbound enquiries, walk-ins, referrals and outreach leads into new joiners
• Manage the complete sales journey, from initial enquiry and appointment booking through to club tour, follow-up and membership close
• Deliver engaging, personalised club tours that connect each prospect’s goals with the facilities, classes and membership options available
• Achieve key sales KPIs, including daily call targets, tour bookings, show rates, tour-to-sale conversion and monthly membership targets
• Maintain a consistent sales pipeline by proactively following up new, warm and unconverted leads
• Generate new leads through member referrals, corporate partnerships, local outreach and community events
• Build strong relationships with new members to support onboarding, early engagement and long-term retention
• Deliver five-star service throughout the prospect and member journey
• Monitor individual performance against weekly and monthly targets, taking ownership of results and identifying opportunities for improvement

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of one year’s proven sales experience is essential, ideally within the fitness, health, leisure, hospitality or membership-based sector.
• A confident, energetic and naturally engaging personality
• A target-driven mindset with strong sales and communication skills
• A genuine passion for fitness, wellbeing, performance and/or personal development
• The ability to connect with everyone, from nervous first-time gym users to experienced lifters and athletes
• A proactive approach to lead generation and relationship building
• A positive, team-focused attitude

Working Hours

• 40 hours per week
• A mixture of early, late and weekend shifts
• Flexibility is required to support the club during peak gym and sales periods
