Part Time Female Support Worker
Location: Wrexham
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Closing Date: 14th August 2026
About the Role
Gray Healthcare is recruiting a Female Support Worker to support a woman living independently in her own home in Wrexham.
She is supported with emotional wellbeing and mental health needs and receives 1:2:1 support, 24 hours a day, from a consistent female team covering day and waking night shifts.
This is a person-centred role focused on promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, safety, and meaningful community living. You will support her to build stability, develop coping strategies, and live a fulfilling life in her home and local community.
She enjoys:

You will use these interests to promote engagement, routine, and positive outcomes while delivering safe, respectful, and reliable support.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting her to live safely and independently in her home and community
- Promoting routine, structure, and meaningful activity
- Following person-centred care plans and risk assessments
- Using calm, consistent, and least restrictive approaches
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and managing distress
- Building a trusting and professional relationship
- Working as part of a skilled, consistent team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in health and social care, ideally supporting people with:
- mental health needs
- emotional wellbeing needs
- Experience supporting behaviours of distress and self-injury
- Ability to adapt communication to individual needs
- Calm, resilient, and consistent approach
- Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
- Strong understanding of person-centred care and independence
- Motivation to promote meaningful engagement and outcomes
Desirable:
- Experience in trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- The individual feels safe, respected, and understood
- She engages in activities she enjoys and maintains routine
- Support is consistent, calm, and least restrictive
- Risks are identified early and managed safely wherever possible
- She maintains independence and continues living successfully at home
Working Hours
- 24-hour contract
- 2 x 12-hour days shifts (8am–8pm)
- 2 x sleeps from 8pm to 8am paid @ £100 per sleep
Training and Development
