Teaching Assistant required in RCT with an immediate start

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children & young people with special educational needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join an amazing team within a secondary school in RCT. The school fosters an inclusive, supporting and fun environment for pupils with Additional Learning Needs, helping with daily tasks and life skills.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance with their learning
  • Implement individual education plans
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
  • Collaborate with teachers & professionals, assisting with personal care tasks & helping learners develop social & emotional skills

Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • A passion for supporting other
  • Experience working supporting needs such as Autism & ADHD
  • Experience managing difficult behaviour & de-escalating situations is desirable
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service (or happy to process one through ZEN)
  • A valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Have a positive and proactive attitude towards supporting children with SEN
