Location: Birmingham, B15
Start: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm
Zest Education are looking to recruit a proactive and experienced Medical Admin Officer for a thriving school in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide First Aid care to pupils and staff, assessing needs and responding effectively to emergencies.
- Administer prescribed medication in line with parental consent and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure pupils with medical conditions have appropriate care plans, alert cards, and in-date medication.
- Communicate health concerns, risk assessments and safeguarding matters to relevant staff.
- Ensure allergy cards, lanyards, posters and pupil information are accurate, up to date and clearly communicated to staff.
- Also be responsible for coordinating and supporting with the School Uniform Shop, arranging opportunities for pupils to see and try on uniform samples.
- Provide occasional cover for the front office, answering the telephone, greeting parents and visitors and dealing with enquiries.
You Will Need:
- First Aid Training and previous experience of providing medical support.
- Experience of administering medication safely.
- Able to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of Allergy management and anaphylaxis.
- An Enhanced DBS Check (or willing to complete one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
