Senior Accountant | Manchester or Liverpool based (Hybrid – 2+ days office) | Up to £36,000

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Manchester or Liverpool team - someone who’s commercially sharp, emotionally intelligent, and thrives on helping clients succeed.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare year-end accounts for review
  • Prepare VAT returns and send Loom videos to clients to explain them
  • Contribute to client quarterly catch-up calls
  • Proactively monitor client performance and stay in regular contact to offer forward-looking advice, not just reactive support
  • Prepare/contribute to management account prep.
  • Act as the primary advisor to a portfolio of clients — understanding their goals, challenges, and delivering tailored solutions
  • Report to an Assistant Manager and have involvement in team profitability
  • Identify new opportunities for clients to improve efficiency, increase profitability, and reduce risk — and guide them through implementation
  • Answer technical bookkeeping questions from both clients and other members of staff

What you’ll bring

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE with solid practice experience (at least 4 years)
  • A commercial mindset and great communication skills
  • The ability to turn financial data into business advice clients actually understand
  • Experience using Xero, Dext (and love for all things cloud-based, we embrace technology that makes our clients lives easier as we understand the time pressures of running a business)
