We’re now looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our busy Finance team. This is a great opportunity for a Graduate with some finance experience, or someone early in their finance career who’s eager to develop professionally — with full study support available.

Key responsibilities

You’ll work across four legal entities, supporting the production of accurate, timely financial information. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Daily bank reconciliations and recording financial transactions
  • Processing bank payments in Open Accounts and via banking platforms
  • Supporting external audits and maintaining financial records
  • Weekly cash-to-revenue reviews and payment runs
  • Customer statement reconciliations & unallocated cash reporting
  • Assisting with invoicing, including sponsorship income
  • Period-end processes in Open Accounts
  • Complaint payment processing
  • Raising sales ledger invoices for licence fees
  • Monitoring client Commission Advance repayments
  • Setting up new suppliers and updating bank details
  • Overheads reporting for monthly SMT packs
  • Monthly payroll journal posting for two legal entities
  • Supporting the Finance Director and Management Accountant
  • Assisting with balance sheet preparation
  • Using reporting functions within our CRM system, Revolution
  • Supporting quarterly FCA & HMRC VAT submissions
  • Providing cover for daily reports, Virtual Credit Card processing & PL inputting

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working in a Finance team (essential)
  • Financial Services sector background (desirable)
  • Strong GCSEs & A-Levels (or equivalent), particularly English and Maths
  • Ideal for someone starting (or about to start) their professional accountancy studies
  • A proactive, detail-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
