The vacancy

Hours: 35 per week

Shift Pattern: Flexible patterns available 08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00, 10:00-18:00

The role

We are currently looking to recruit an Account Payable Administrator to join us here at Housing 21.

Within the role you will cover all company purchases, invoicing and other related finance activities and processes.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate, complete, timely processing and maintenance of purchase related invoices and any related transactions in the financial systems and relevant ledgers.

You will work with operations, corporate functions and suppliers to resolve invoice queries and work collaboratively to resolve root cause issues and improve on processes to enable timely payment to suppliers and recording of financial transactions/costs.

While the role is home based the successful candidate will be required to attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements for the role include:

  • Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment and delivery of excellent customer service
  • Housing and care sectors experience
  • Delivery of best practice accounts payables and finance related responsibilities
  • Experience working with complex, ERP and payables solutions with numerous interfaces from feeder systems
  • Knowledge & experience of accounts payable controls and safeguards/fraud prevention
  • Confidentiality and data protection legislation
  • Carrying out supplier reconciliations
  • GCSE grade C (Level 4) and above, or equivalent relevant experience
