This is a fantastic entry point into a career in finance. You don't need previous experience in accounts — just strong numeracy, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine interest in building a career towards AAT and beyond. You'll be fully supported from day one, working alongside experienced members of the team who'll teach you the ropes as you go.

You'll report into the Finance Manager, and as you grow in confidence and complete your AAT Level 2, you'll take on more responsibility — with a clear path through to a full Accounts Assistant role.

  • Supporting the team with raising sales invoices
  • Helping process and allocate customer receipts
  • Assisting with matching purchase invoices against purchase orders
  • Supporting supplier and customer account reconciliations
  • Helping respond to supplier and customer queries
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance team
  • Learning the systems and processes behind month-end activities

What we're looking for:

  • No previous finance experience required — this role is about your potential
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • A genuine interest in starting (or continuing) your AAT qualification
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Clear, confident communication
  • A proactive, positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Comfortable asking questions and taking on feedback as you build your skills

What you'll get:

  • Salary of £24,500–£26,500 depending on experience
  • Fully funded AAT Level 2 study support, including day release and exam fees
  • Hands-on training from an experienced, supportive finance team
  • A genuine progression path towards an Accounts Assistant role as your skills and qualification develop
  • The chance to build a long-term career in finance from the ground up
