We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.
What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.
The Opportunity
QBE is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Business Performance Analyst to join our global Automotive Protection business unit. We’re a leader in affinity insurance solutions for the automotive sector, operating in over 20 countries and we’re growing fast.
Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
Your New Role
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Performance (Automotive Protection), you’ll be a key player in shaping the financial and strategic direction of the division. From steering business plans and validating performance with Finance and Actuarial teams, to refining premium earning profiles and supporting audits - this role offers unmatched exposure and impact.
You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with our Pricing and Analytics team, contributing to innovative strategies that influence how we understand claims behaviour, inflation, and customer trends.
Main responsibilities:
  • Align performance strategy for GAP and Warranty with business goals, ensuring analytics drive real results.
  • Solve complex business challenges with smart, controlled solutions that minimise disruption.
  • Analyse claims data and forecast future trends using actuarial techniques.
  • Manage priorities and deadlines with confidence and clarity.
  • Continuously improve analytical, planning, and performance processes for greater efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Credit Control, and more.
  • Maintain and adjust premium earning profiles across global schemes.
  • Collaborate on strategic planning and deliver divisional plans with precision.
  • Support pricing strategies that reflect behavioural trends and market dynamics.
  • Prepare and validate reserve outputs in partnership with Actuarial teams.
  • Ensure financial performance reporting is accurate, timely, and insightful.
  • Monitor reporting systems and controls to ensure smooth operations across the division.
About You
  • Good experience with MS SQL Server and Access, including relational databases, SQL queries, reports, forms, and macros.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, with solid knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and visualisation tools like Power BI.
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Confidence in interpreting and presenting complex numerical data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
This is your chance to make a real impact in a global business, working with brilliant minds and bold ideas. If you're ready to take your career to the next level — we’re ready for you.
