Full job description

We are seeking a responsible, hardworking and safety-conscious Fuel Oil Tanker Driver to join our family run business located on the A76 at Closeburn. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of fuel oils to fuel stations, commercial depots and various other sites across scotland. This is a critical role in ensuring that fuel deliveries are made on time, in full, and in line with industry safety standards and regulations.

Shift schedules consist of Day shift Monday-Friday and Back shift Sunday-Thursday with no tramping required.

Full uniform and PPE will be provided.

To be considered you must have:

  • Full UK Licence with Cat C+E entitlement
  • CPC
  • ADR in tanks - Preferred but not essential
  • Petroleum Drivers Passport - Preferred but not essential
  • Digital Tacho card
  • Excellent Health & Safety Knowledge

Duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Delivering in a safe manner complying with all relevant legal and company procedures
  • Monitor and report wear and tear to vehicles
  • Prevent and report damage
  • Knowledge of regulations surrounding the working time directive and tachographs
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly
  • Carry out start/end checks as per procedure
  • Ensure vehicle is loaded/unloaded safely and correctly
  • Basic level of numeracy and literacy, in order to complete work documentation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £38,816.00-£45,016.00 per year
