The role involves both hands-on testing and technical oversight, working with customers and internal teams to ensure high-quality delivery of EMC services.

This is a key technical role for an experienced engineer looking to deepen their impact on defence and aerospace compliance programmes, take on report signatory responsibilities, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform and lead EMC testing activities for Military and Aerospace applications.
  • Review and sign test reports in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Work closely with customers and project managers to define test plans and resolve technical issues.
  • Support junior engineers and technicians with test setups and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and contribute to internal test procedures and documentation.
  • Support audit readiness and quality system compliance.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience in EMC testing.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Military and Aerospace EMC testing (DEF STAN 59-411, MIL-STD-461, DO-160, etc).
  • Eligible to act as a report signatory or progressing toward this responsibility.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex test programs.
  • Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

To be successful in your application for this role you will require:

  • The ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearance (baseline or SC level).
  • Availability to work Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:00, and Friday: 08:30–15:45 (37.5 hours per week).
  • A team-oriented mindset with a focus on technical excellence and continuous improvement.
