Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Farm Secretary to provide administrative support within our agricultural operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in accounting software and administrative tasks to contribute to the efficient running of our farm activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain financial records using accounting software (Xero)
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping
  • Prepare and organise documentation related to farm operations, including invoices, purchase orders, and delivery schedules
  • Assist with budgeting and financial reporting to support farm management decisions
  • Handle correspondence, phone calls, and scheduling appointments efficiently
  • Support inventory management by tracking supplies and equipment usage
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative assistance to the directors

Skills

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as Xero
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial record management
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar programmes for documentation and communication purposes
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
