The Manchester College is seeking an innovative DigiTec Specialist Practitioner in AI to help drive our strategic approach to AI adoption, emerging technologies, and future digital skills requirements.
Working closely with curriculum leaders, employers, and senior stakeholders, you will provide expert insight into the rapidly evolving AI landscape, identifying emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities that will influence the future of education and employment. Your expertise will help inform strategic decision-making, strengthen industry partnerships, and ensure the College remains at the forefront of innovation in one of the fastest-growing areas of the digital economy. AI is increasingly shaping fields such as data analysis, automation, machine learning, software development, and digital transformation, creating significant demand for organisations that can adapt and respond to change.
This role is ideal for a forward-thinking industry professional who is passionate about the future of Artificial Intelligence and its real-world applications. If you thrive on spotting emerging trends, influencing strategic direction, building industry partnerships, and helping organisations navigate technological change, we'd love to hear from you.
This opportunity is based at our Openshaw Campus to join the Creative Industries Department as a Curriculum Innovation Specialist in AI. The role is offered on a 3-year fixed-term contract, working 17.5 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities
- Lead on a specific specialism within a curriculum area.
- Develop resources and teaching materials in line with specialism ensuring they are of the highest quality, reflect industry best practice and comply with course guidance/frameworks.
- Design and develop curriculum in line with employer need to ensure current validity with Industry specialism and best practice.
- Use technology to develop and enhance the learning environment both inside and outside of the classroom.
- Participate in the development of internal and external partnerships to disseminate information, share best practice, establish opportunities for collaborative work and enhance the delivery of learning.
- Contribute and develop area of specialism to meet local and national skills and knowledge priorities.
- Provide specialist CPD for staff to ensure they are current in their practice.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Degree.
- Current and valid industry specialism qualification.
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
- Professional Body accreditation (within subject specialism) where relevant.
