Compensation: £60–£90 / 1,000 words; Remuneration per actual teaching/tutoring session, finalized based on service type and workload.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one online academic tutoring for international students, covering specialized degree courses, academic writing, research methodology, and thesis/dissertation guidance.
  • Develop personalized tutoring plans and targeted academic support tailored to students' academic backgrounds, learning goals, and key areas for improvement.
  • Guide students through thesis topic selection, Research Proposal (RP) writing, outline structuring, and the enhancement of academic writing skills.
  • Independently prepare teaching slides and relevant learning materials, clearly explaining specialized subject knowledge, core concepts, key topics, and complex academic issues.
  • Track students' learning progress promptly, provide professional feedback, and maintain clear communication with the Academic Services Team.
  • Strictly adhere to academic integrity guidelines, ensuring all educational support aligns with established academic compliance standards.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Current PhD candidate or PhD graduate from a Top 100 QS World University, with overseas study or research experience.
  • Academic Proficiency: Solid academic foundation with in-depth familiarity with the UK/US higher education systems, academic writing protocols, and course assessment criteria.
  • Teaching & Delivery: Strong explanatory skills, logical reasoning, and communication abilities, with the capacity to conduct online teaching independently.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Mandarin with excellent English proficiency; able to teach seamlessly using professional terminology in both English and Chinese.
  • Time & Availability: Stable part-time availability with flexible weekday schedules to align with students' academic routines.
  • Professional Ethos: Highly responsible, detail-oriented, with excellent teamwork capabilities and a strong commitment to service quality.Prior experience in one-on-one academic tutoring, university-level lecturing, thesis supervision, or work within educational institutions is strongly preferred.
