The Role

As HR Generalist, you'll be responsible for delivering both operational and strategic HR support across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for managers on all HR matters.
  • Providing expert advice on employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance management.
  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to development and offboarding.
  • Coaching managers on employment law, HR policies and best practice.
  • Managing HR systems, employee records and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Supporting organisational development, succession planning and workforce planning.
  • Coordinating training, appraisals and professional development initiatives.
  • Managing apprenticeship programmes and external training provider relationships.
  • Leading employee wellbeing initiatives and promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Supporting GDPR compliance and HR-related data management.
  • Managing employee benefits including healthcare and pension administration.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the overall employee experience.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll be an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a broad generalist position and building trusted relationships across a business.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a HR Generalist, HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or similar standalone HR role.
  • Strong employee relations experience and a sound understanding of UK employment law.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and confidently support managers at all levels.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities within a busy environment.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as travel to the Leeds office approximately twice per month is required.

If you're looking for a broad HR role where you can make a genuine impact and become a trusted advisor to senior leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
