About the company:

A well-established and design-led architectural practice based in Harrogate is seeking an Architect to join its growing residential team. The practice specialises in high-quality bespoke housing, extensions, and residential developments, delivering thoughtful, well-crafted architecture throughout Yorkshire and beyond. This role offers the opportunity to work across all stages of residential projects in a collaborative and supportive studio environment.

The Architect will be involved in the design and delivery of residential schemes from early concept through planning and technical stages. The role suits someone with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in residential architecture who is keen to take on responsibility, contribute creatively, and develop their career within a stable and respected practice. The position is studio-based in Harrogate, with flexible working available following the completion of probation.

Daily Duties

  • Producing design and technical drawings for residential projects
  • Working on projects from concept, planning and detailed design stages
  • Coordinating with consultants, planners, and other project stakeholders
  • Assisting with planning applications and design statements
  • Liaising with clients to develop and refine design proposals
  • Using Archicad to develop and manage project information

Ideal Candidate

  • Architect with a minimum of several years' residential experience
  • Strong design ability with good technical understanding
  • Experience using Archicad preferred
  • Located within 40 minutes of Harrogate
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
