Full-time | Monday–Friday

Pinders is an established print and signage company based in Sheffield City Centre, producing a wide range of small and large format print, including signage, banners, vinyl, window graphics, business stationery and display materials.

We are looking for a skilled Pre-Press & Artworker / Print Operator to join our production team. This role is a mix of pre-press/artworking and print machine operation, with training provided on machinery for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing artwork for print across both small and large format jobs, carrying out pre-press checks, making artwork amendments, and supporting production by running small format digital print equipment once trained.

Pre-press and artworking are essential for this role. Print operator experience is beneficial but not essential, as training can be given.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-press checking and preparation of artwork for print
  • Artworking and amending files for both small and large format jobs
  • Light design work where required (resizing, layout adjustments, client amends)
  • Using Adobe Creative Suite daily (Illustrator essential)
  • RIP setup and job management using Onyx and Fiery
  • Running small format digital presses (training provided)
  • Liaising with internal teams and occasional direct client contact regarding artwork queries
  • Managing multiple jobs and working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintaining quality standards throughout production

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong Adobe skills (Illustrator essential; InDesign/Photoshop beneficial)
  • Proven experience in pre-press and artworking within a print or signage environment
  • Good understanding of file setup for print (bleeds, colour, formats, resolution)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident communicator when handling artwork queries

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience using RIP software (Onyx, Fiery)
  • Experience operating digital print equipment
  • Background in print, signage, or large format production

Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Friday only
  • 36.25 – 40 hours per week (TBC)
  • Working hours will be either 8:30am–5:15pm or 9:00am–5:00pm
  • 45-minute break
  • £12.71 – £14.00 per hour, dependent on skills and experience
