Role Summary

As a Business Development Manager at ClearVC, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the Audio Visual (AV) and Unified Communications (UC/VC) markets. You will engage with clients to understand their technical and commercial requirements, positioning ClearVC as a trusted partner.This role is focused on proactive new business generation, consultative sales, and long-term relationship building. You will work closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop solutions that meet client needs and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across target sectors including corporate, healthcare, government, and education.
  • Develop and manage structured sales plans to support revenue and margin growth.
  • Conduct market and account research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of both inbound and self-generated opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high standard of service throughout the sales process.
  • Develop long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and strategic partnerships.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with marketing to support campaigns, events, and lead-generation activity.
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are aligned with client requirements and operational capability.
  • Ensure a smooth handover from sales to project delivery teams.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports to senior management.
  • Use sales data and market insight to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

Training & Development

  • Maintain a strong understanding of AV and UC technologies, products, and industry developments.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, representing ClearVC professionally.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the AV industry or a related technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of AV and video conferencing solutions (e.g. VC platforms, integrated AV systems, digital signage).
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals and manage complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capability.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and market information.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Zoho) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
