Overview
Join our vibrant childcare team as a Nursery Bank Staff member, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing environment for young children. In this role, you will support full-time nursery staff by providing high-quality care and engaging activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your positive energy and commitment to early childhood development will foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating space where children can thrive and explore.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily childcare routines, including feeding, nappy changes , and nap times for children across various age groups
  • Support classroom activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning experiences
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and behavioral management strategies to encourage positive interactions
  • Collaborate with full-time staff to maintain organization, cleanliness, and compliance standards
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's day-to-day activities and developmental milestones

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar environments is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
  • Experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children is preferred
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous; training can be provided if needed
  • Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse groups of children and team members in a fast-paced environment
