Full job description

Are you a keen problem solver who enjoys delivering great customer service? If so, we‘ve an exciting opportunity for a people-focussed person to join us as a Specialist Accommodation Officer on a full-time permanent basis.

Please note, for this role you will be required to travel regularly across a sizeable geographical patch, including Stoke-on-Trent, Burton-on-Trent, Worcestershire, Wolverhampton and Northamptonshire. To be considered for this role, you must be willing and able to travel across the Midland Heart portfolio, at short notice and to sites often inaccessible via public transport.

As a Specialist Accommodation Officer, you'll:
Deliver a first-class landlord service across the Specialist Accommodation portfolio conducting all housing management related tasks such as tenancy sign ups and tenancy management.

Identify any areas of service delivery that are below required standards and put an action plan in place to improve outcomes for customers.

Ensure the portfolio of services are safe by conducting regular compliance checks and responding to any emerging building safety, fire safety or health and safety risks or issues.

Provide efficient and effective back up support to the Specialist Accommodation Manager and deputise at meetings where required.

Respond promptly and effectively to crisis and emergency situations.

In this role, you will be based at our Birmingham Bath Row Office and you can expect to spend 2/3 days per week on sites / working from a Midland Heart office and 2 days working remotely from home, although this may vary depending on business need.

Our ideal candidate?

Experience of working with customers with complex needs and 3 rd party support agencies in Housing management context / residential setting.

Knowledge and experience of managing compliance including building safety, safeguarding, fire safety and health and safety.

Experience of using a range of IT packages including Microsoft Packages and inhouse systems.
