About Us:

At Bakeout, we pride ourselves on creating high-quality baked goods that bring warmth and joy to our community. From freshly baked bread to delicious pastries, we are passionate about providing our customers with the finest products. We have outlets in Lewes, Hassocks, Southwick and Lancing. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Bakery Assistant to join our dynamic team and help us continue to grow.

Position Overview:

The Operations Assistant plays a key role in maintaining the smooth daily running of the bakery. This position is responsible for ensuring the bakery and store areas are kept clean and organised, supporting product picking and stock management, and assisting the pastry and deli teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the bakery.

· Clean store floors and production areas at the end of each day.

· Complete product picking for all stores, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

· Report any shortages, damages, or operational issues to the Bakery Manager promptly.

· Print off and organise daily picking lists.

· Assist the pastry or deli teams with production tasks when required.

· Monitor and maintain a stock inventory of cleaning products and equipment.

· Notify the Bakery Manager when cleaning supplies or equipment need replenishment.

· Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

· Support general operational tasks as directed by management.

Skills and Abilities

· Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

· Good organisational and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Basic computer skills for printing and reporting.

· Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach to work.Please note the shifts below, these can be subject to change.

Monday - Friday (20 Hours Per week) 11:30-15:30
