Job Overview
**Weekend Hours**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to join our team as Bar Staff to help us over busy weekends. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, in the centre of Hull, ensuring guests enjoy their experience while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the hospitality industry within a dynamic and friendly setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve drinks and efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar and tables
  • Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the Zonal point-of-sale system
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene standards at all times
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
  • Assist in setting up and clearing down the bar area before and after service
  • Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of Allergens and hygiene practices is advantageous
  • Strong serving skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Excellent time management to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
  • Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and good communication skills are essential for success in this role
