SEN Behaviour Mentor – Primary School (Hanwell)
Location: Hanwell, West London
Pay: £95–£105 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term

A welcoming primary school in Hanwell is seeking a SEN Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH, ADHD and behavioural needs across KS1 and KS2. A sports coach or PE background is strongly preferred, as the role includes using physical activity and structured movement to support regulation and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Use sport-based and movement-led interventions to support focus, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Support pupils during lessons, transitions, playground time and structured activities
  • Implement behaviour plans, de-escalation strategies and reward systems
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and self-confidence
  • Work closely with the SENCo, class teachers and pastoral team

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Sports Coach, PE Coach or Youth Worker
  • Confident supporting children with SEMH, ADHD or challenging behaviour
  • Calm, patient and resilient with strong behaviour-management skills
  • Able to use sport, games and physical activity as a positive behaviour tool
  • Experience in a primary school setting is highly desirable
