Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bricklayer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials.

We also will consider a pricework gang

This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in masonry and related trades to contribute to high-quality building projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Mix mortar accurately and apply it effectively to ensure durable joints
  • Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and chisels to execute masonry work with precision
  • Operate power tools including mixers, drills, and saws safely and effectively
  • Assist with the installation of roofing structures where necessary
  • Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for various projects
  • Assist with general site preparation and clean-up tasks as required

Skills

  • Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or related construction trades
  • Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary
  • Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow instructions diligently
