Overview
We are seeking a friendly, motivated and reliable Farm Shop and Coffee House Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role working across our farm shop and coffee house, serving great food and drink with excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serving customers in farm shop and coffee house accurately and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialised coffee drinks.
  • Serving food, baked goods, pies and deli products.
  • Operating the till and handling payments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop, including tables, counters, and equipment.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures to ensure everywhere is prepared for daily operations.
  • Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering queries about products or services.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including food hygiene standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous barista experience would be advantageous
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask during busy periods.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts that will include weekend working.
  • A positive attitude with excellent communication skills. Please note that this position requires applicants to be physically capable of heavy lifting when necessary and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £7.55-£12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 34 per week
