About Us

At Castelan, we are proud to be a trusted name in furniture care, insurance, and commercial services across the UK. Our Commercial Services team delivers planned and preventative maintenance, furniture supply, repair, restoration, and installation for clients in hospitality, leisure, healthcare, retail, and insurance sectors. We work with leading brands, helping businesses create welcoming, well-maintained environments. Whether it is refreshing a hotel room, restoring upholstery, or installing bespoke furniture, our team brings spaces to life with care and precision.

About the Role

We are looking for a Stock Control Administrator to join our busy and supportive Commercial Services team. This is a hands-on role that blends physical stock handling with essential administrative tasks to keep our operations running smoothly. You will work closely with our Operations Manager and Technicians to ensure materials are received, organised, and scheduled efficiently - helping us meet client KPIs and deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and organise daily deliveries
  • Maintain live spreadsheets and technician diaries
  • Book appointments and create work runs for domestic and commercial clients
  • Upload jobs to client portals (e.g., WASP for Boots)
  • Label incoming stock (fabrics, poles, boxes, etc.)
  • Raise purchase orders and order materials for approved jobs
  • Keep the unit tidy and stock well-organised
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks across operations, admin, and technician teams
  • Support timesheet updates for payroll and business reporting
  • Support the Operations Scheduler as and when required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Clear and friendly communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Willingness to lift and move stock (some heavy items involved)
  • A team-focused attitude and readiness to help wherever needed
  • The role does require a level of fitness that can manual handle loads of 25 kg and above on a regular basis.

Why Join Us?

At Castelan, we value people of all backgrounds and experiences. Whether you’re early in your career, returning to work, or bringing years of expertise, you’ll find a supportive environment where your contribution matters. We are looking for someone who:

  • Leads by example
  • Takes initiative and personal responsibility
  • Builds strong relationships
  • Brings energy and enthusiasm to the team
  • Treats customers fairly and professionally
