Start Your Career Supporting Vulnerable Children – Full-Time, Herefordshire
No experience required | £32,000 - £34,000 starting salary | 3 days on / 3 days off
Are you looking to start a fulfilling career that will make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children in your local community?
Have you ever wanted to work in a caring role but didn’t know how to get started?
We’ve partnered with a specialist children’s residential home in the Herefordshire area to offer an incredible opportunity for people with the right mindset, empathy, and enthusiasm – no experience needed.
You’ll receive extensive training, gain qualifications, and be supported by experienced staff, all while earning a starting salary of £32,000 per year.

We’re looking for compassionate, resilient, and motivated individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Whether you’ve worked in care before or not, if you're the type of person who turns up with a smile, has a big heart, and sees every day as a fresh start – we want to hear from you.
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds including:
- Support Workers, Residential Carers, Teaching Assistants, Tutors
- Youth Workers, Sports Coaches, Swimming Teachers

- Mental Health Support, Social Workers, Forest School Practitioners, PGL Instructors
About the Home
The children’s home is a nurturing, supportive setting designed to provide high-quality care and personal development for young people with additional needs (including autism and SEMH).

No two days are the same. Whether it's supporting children with morning routines, helping them develop life skills, or just playing outside, this is a hands-on and rewarding role where you’ll see real progress being made.
Qualifications on Offer
You’ll gain nationally recognised qualifications, fully funded while you work, including:
- Level 3 Residential Childcare - Fully funded
- Plus free CPD courses via Classroom Recruiters
Full Training & Induction
You’ll receive two full weeks of paid classroom-based training, followed by a shadowing period working alongside experienced staff to help you settle in confidently.
- Learn key skills, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care
- Get to know the children and routines in a safe, supportive environment
- Weekly reviews and ongoing support from team leaders and senior staff
- Clear progression pathway to Team Leader and beyond
Contract & Hours
- Full-time, permanent
- Fixed 3 days on / 3 days off shift pattern - yes 4 days off a week.
- Hours: 07:15 – 22:00 with built-in breaks
- Plenty of time off for rest, recovery, and life outside of work
