Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our brand new team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to the residents in our brand new care home, which is to open very soon.This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the residents who chose to make St Brelades home. .

Duties

  • Support the residentswith daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Be aware of and follow individual care plans tailored to each residents needs.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and caring environment.
  • Maintain accurate records for the residents and any changes in their condition.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Be fully involved with the wellbeing team to ensure that the resident is living their best life
  • Ensure that the residents home is clean, safe, and comfortable for the residents who will call St Brelades home.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar position is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members are advantageous.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for this role.
