It briefly explains your qualifications and why you're applying for the position. It gives you a chance to introduce yourself, showcase your personality and create a connection with the potential employer. Consider following these steps to guide you when writing yours:

1. Research the organisation

Before writing a cover letter for a caregiver job application, research the organisation's goals, history, services and mission statement. This helps you determine whether the organisation's goals and values align with your own. You can find this information by visiting the organisation's website and social media pages or reading articles about it. If you have a network of caregiving colleagues, you can ask for their opinions about the organisation to learn about its employee benefits, leadership roles and daily operations.

2. Include your contact information

Start your cover letter by writing your contact details at the top. Include your full name, phone number, email address, current location and any relevant links to your professional portfolios to give the hiring manager a means of communicating with you to set up an interview.
