Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and comfort. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and assistance. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to delivering compassionate care in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
  • Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client's condition
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare teams
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
  • Assist with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travelling between locations
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple care plans efficiently
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and completing documentation digitally
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages and backgrounds
