Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and comfort. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client's condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare teams
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travelling between locations
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple care plans efficiently
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and completing documentation digitally
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages and backgrounds
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
