Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our culinary team as a Cook for weekends. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety and quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic kitchen environment, contributing to the creation of delicious meals for our valued customers. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and standards
  • Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Ensure all ingredients are stored correctly and stock levels are monitored
  • Support the team during busy periods, providing excellent service and efficient food handling
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to uphold high standards of hygiene throughout all kitchen activities
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and customer satisfaction

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related culinary role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
  • Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
  • Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and serving practices will be beneficial
  • A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
