About Us

Close House was established by its current owner, Sir Graham Wylie, in 2005 and has gone through quite the transformation since. In addition to 21 spacious hotel bedrooms, fantastic spaces for golf days and special events, the club offers a wide range of leisure activities. Two 18-hole golf courses, a par-3 nine-hole, a restaurant, and one of the country’s only PGA Academy’s and driving ranges.

The superb facilities are just part of the story. It is the warm and friendly service that sets us apart. Our mission is to provide exceptional customer service, every time. And we can’t achieve this without our great team who put our members and guests at the heart of everything they do.

About You

You will ideally have both fine dining and conference and banqueting experience and thrive at working in a busy kitchen environment. Having a great knowledge and passion for food and drink is essential. You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. You’ll be able to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills by coaching, inspiring and motivating the team.
