NURSERY COOK/CHEF - Brand-New Nursery Opening January 2026 in Tettenhall!

Shooting Stars Nurseries is thrilled to be opening a brand-new, fully refurbished nursery in Tettenhall — and we’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Cook/chef to join our team from the very beginning!

If you are passionate about imbedding healthy eating practises from a younger age, helping children to understand healthy choices and delivering food options in an exciting and attractive way this might just be the job for you!


Role: Nursery Cook/chef

Location: Shooting Stars Nursery Tettenhall, 93 Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton, WV3 9PE

Hours: 7.30am to 3pm, 35 hours per week over 5 days. The nursery is open Monday to Friday, between 7.30am to 6pm all year round except bank holidays.

Salary: £14.50p/h

Start date: Mid December 2025


Essential Experience:

  • Cook in charge experience, menu planning, costing, purchasing and safe food storage.
  • Experience in preparing and serving food for people with allergies and special dietary requirements.
  • Experience catering for children under 5 years old and/or working in a kitchen based in a nursery, school, nursing home or hospital.
  • Supervisory experience.

Qualifications:

Essential- Level 2 or above food hygiene certificate.

Desirable - Level 3 food hygiene, food allergy awareness, knowledge of working with safer food better business practises or a catering/hospitality qualification.
