Founding Business Partner – Care Services (South Wales - Regional)
10% equity across all care ventures
Base salary + long-term value creation
No personal capital required
Fully funded growth platform
Overview
We are establishing a new group of specialist care services across South Wales, including autism day services, bespoke residential provision, and community-based support models .
We are seeking a Founding Business Partner to lead the design, launch, and scaling of these services. This is a senior, partnership-level role for an experienced care operator who wants to build a career for life, gain meaningful ownership, and operate with genuine autonomy.
This role is about taking control of your professional future — moving beyond senior employment into long-term value creation, without personal financial risk.
The Partnership Proposition
- 10% equity in all current and future care-related businesses
- Base salary from £50,000+, increasing as operational responsibility grows
- No personal capital contribution or financial exposure
- Full funding for property, compliance, legal, and professional services
- Strategic authority to define how care services are designed, delivered, and scaled
You will be the key individual responsible for care delivery, shaping niche, bespoke services that prioritise quality, dignity, and meaningful outcomes for service users.
Scope of Responsibility
- Design and launch specialist care services aligned to genuine unmet need
- Develop high-quality, bespoke service models that improve lives
- Secure placements and contracts through established professional routes
- Lead governance, regulatory readiness, and operational frameworks
- Scale services into a multi-site, multi-venture care group
There will be no compromise on care standards.
Growth is dependent on excellence, impact, and integrity.
CIW Registration Pathway (Flexible)
The CIW pathway will align with the sequencing of the first project:
If the first service is CIW-registered:
CIW Registered Manager registration can be progressed while the partner remains in their existing role, with full support provided. On approval, the partner transitions fully.
If the first project is not CIW-registered:
The role can commence immediately, with CIW registration introduced at a later stage if required.
This approach ensures career continuity, flexibility, and reduced personal risk.
Financial Trajectory
Progression is directly linked to the ambition of the individual and the successful delivery of exceptional care. Growth will only be pursued where standards are maintained at the highest level.
- Initial services:
£62k (£50k base salary + £12k profit share)
- Multi-service growth:
£106k (£70k base salary + £36k profit share)
- Group scale:
£240k (£100k base salary + £120k profit share)
- Regional scale:
£460k+ (primarily profit share, with additional base salary optional depending on operational involvement)
This reflects a salary-plus-ownership model aligned with sustainable, long-term growth.
Ideal Profile
- Senior operational leadership experience within regulated care services
- Strong understanding of commissioning, placements, and contract pathways
- Ability to design and scale high-quality, compliant services
- Commercial awareness balanced with a values-led approach
- Motivated by ownership, autonomy, and long-term impact
Essential
Proven access to commissioning routes beyond standard tender frameworks. The successful partner will be capable of rapidly developing senior relationships, validating demand, and obtaining early-stage commissioning support prior to service launch
Final Note
This role is for professionals who want to:
- Build a career for life, not move between senior roles
- Take control of their time, income, and professional legacy
- Shape how care is delivered across multiple services
- Create long-term value while genuinely improving lives
If you are seeking a true business partnership — with autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to exceed your current ceiling — we welcome a confidential discussion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £62,000.00-£360,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company car
- Company pension
- Employee stock ownership plan
- Private dental insurance
- Private medical insurance
- Profit sharing
Application question(s):
- This role is structured as a business partnership rather than traditional employment. Please describe how you have prepared yourself for a transition from senior employee to owner-operator, including any experiences, decisions, or initiatives that demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking.
- Please outline your experience with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), including registration or regulatory leadership, and describe how you have built relationships to test service concepts and secure commissioning or placements outside of traditional tender-only processes.
- Based on your experience, what gaps or unmet needs do you currently see within the care sector in South Wales (or the wider region)?
This question is designed to assess your ability to identify market gaps, think commercially about value creation, and consider how these insights could be developed into viable, paid services.
