Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team based in our purpose-built nursery setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise skills within a dynamic setting, contributing positively to children's growth and well-being.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in accordance with early childhood education principles
  • Supervise children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety at all times
  • Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages learning through play and exploration
  • Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care and guidance
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organise routines and special events
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
  • Manage daily operational tasks including tidying up, setting up learning areas, and ensuring health and safety standards are met
  • Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism within the team

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education frameworks and child development stages
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also taking initiative independently
  • Valid childcare qualifications or relevant nursery experience recognised by regulatory bodies
  • Passion for working with children, patience, creativity, and organisational skills are essential

Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour
