Childrens Residential Support Worker

Location: Oldbury
Pay: £16.00 – £18.00 per hour + £70 per sleep-in

We are looking for experienced Childrens Residential Support Worker, Senior Support Workers and Night Wake Support Workers who truly understands the complexities of working with children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

About the Role

We are a brand new organisation who are focused on providing holistic support to children and young people who have experienced significant challenges.

As a part of the team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive home environment where young people can feel valued, heard, and empowered to thrive. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will build positive, trusting relationships with each young person, providing consistent care, encouragement, and guidance in their daily lives.

This is a hands-on role where you will support young people with their individual needs, promote their emotional wellbeing and development, and help them achieve positive outcomes. Above all, you will be the kind of reliable, caring adult they can depend on.

This role includes the following shifts:

RSW - 7am until 10pm with some sleep in shifts required - £70 per sleep in

SSW - 7am until 10pm with some sleep in shifts Required - £70 per sleep in

Night Wake RSW - 9:30pm -7:30am

What You Will Be Doing

  • Leading by example and creating a warm, safe, and structured home environment
  • Stepping up to manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Supporting young people through challenges, helping them regulate emotions and develop life skills
  • Promoting positive behaviour through understanding, consistency, and clear boundaries
  • Building genuine, trusting relationships with young people
  • Supporting education, daily routines, and meaningful activities
  • Guiding and developing staff to deliver the highest standards of care
  • Ensuring records, care plans, and reports reflect the voice and progress of each child
  • Working closely with external professionals to achieve the best outcomes

About the Home

  • The home has been recently refurbished to a high standard, providing a calm, comfortable, and welcoming environment for both young people and staff.
  • High-quality sleep-in facilities are also provided.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is not only experienced, but genuinely committed to making a difference.

You will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children’s Residential Care (essential)
  • At least 12 months’ experience in a similar role
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A calm, resilient approach and strong emotional intelligence
  • A genuine passion for child-centred care
