Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, particularly with flatbed vehicles.

Duties

  • Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while on the road.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving preferred, particularly with flatbed vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving heavy vehicles.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
