Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our friendly team as a Nursery Cleaner at our Woosehill nursery. This important role will help us maintain the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene essential for a safe environment for children, staff, and families. We would like someone who can work from 4.30-6.30 or 5-7, working at an hourly rate of £12.85ph.

Main responsibilities

  • Carry out daily cleaning of all nursery rooms, toilets, kitchens, corridors, and communal areas

  • Maintain the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety by following cleaning schedules and procedures

  • Safely store and use cleaning materials and equipment according to guidelines

  • Report any maintenance, health, or safety issues promptly

  • Work respectfully alongside nursery staff and children, ensuring minimal disruption to the learning environment

  • Support with occasional deep cleans and additional cleaning requests as needed

Experience required

  • Previous cleaning experience in a nursery, school, healthcare, or similar environment (preferred but not essential)

  • Awareness of hygiene, infection control, and safe use of cleaning products

  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to use initiative

  • Flexible approach to work and ability to work well as part of a team

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting a safe environment for children
