Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly cleaned and stored. This role is vital in supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitise dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using appropriate cleaning methods.
  • Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and properly stored for subsequent use.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and surrounding surfaces.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations.
  • Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic working environment.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently.
  • Support other kitchen staff with additional duties during busy periods to ensure smooth service.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen or food service setting demonstrates strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to food handling and sanitation is beneficial.
