Labcorp is seeking a Research Associate to join our Safety Pharmacology team at Alconbury, Cambridgeshire.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (37.5 hours).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform cross-site pre-clinical studies according to study plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidance.
  • Perform a wide range of pharmacological in vivo techniques in compliance with the United Kingdom Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and associated Codes of Practice.
  • Contribute to the design and customisation of animal model study plans for sponsors.
  • Coordinate both regulatory and discovery studies.
  • Prepare accurate, high-quality scientific reports for sponsors and internal stakeholders using data capture and data processing software.
  • Maintain high-quality, accurate records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSc in Pharmacology or an equivalent scientific discipline.

Additional Job Standards:

  • Knowledge of Safety Pharmacology and/or Respiratory Disease Pharmacology preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a GLP-regulated laboratory environment is desirable.
  • Home Office Licence Holder (PIL A) is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, train others and challenge constructively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
